Bonniksen speedos have been difficult to find for a number of years. But if you are lucky enough to find one it has, until now, been virtually impossible to source the other items necessary to fit it to your vintage motorcycle or car. The Bonniksen Boy can now offer everything you need to to fit your speedo and make it read reliably and accurately - with those wonderful 'whirring hands' doing the job they were first designed to do way back in 1912.

Drive Gearbox
An exact replica of the original 'late pattern' gearbox made by Rotherhams of Coventry. Even the knurled top of the grease cup is engraved 'Rotherhams'. Made from machined brass and finished in nickel deposited the original way - ie in 'dull nickel', which can be left dull or polished to a high shine as shown in the picture. Supplied with gearing to suit front or rear wheel drive, left or right side fitment.

Cable
Made with original pattern rubber sheath and nickel plated fittings. Available in any length to suit your machine and with end fittings to suit either type of speedo drive spindle - they come with either a slotted hollow 'bullet' or a slit 'rod' on the speedo end. So be careful to specify the correct type for your speedo when ordering.

Handlebar clamp
Made in nickel plated brass - as per original - these clamps incorporate a hollow threaded sleeve to attach the clamp to the speedo drive spindle tube. Available for either 1" or 7/8" handlebars.

Drive Gearbox Bracket
You need one of these to attach the drive gearbox to your front fork wheel spindle. Made from 4mm stainless steel, the bracket can either be polished to replicate nickel, or nickel plated if strict originality is important to you. Supplied unplated.

26T Driven Gear
The 26 tooth gear goes on the drive gearbox input spindle. Made in 5mm stainless steel, the gear can either be polished to replicate nickel, or nickel plated if strict originality is important to you. Supplied unplated.

52T Drive Gear for FWD
This gear clamps onto the spokes of the front wheel. Made in 5mm stainless steel, the gear can either be polished to replicate nickel, or nickel plated if strict originality is important to you. Supplied unplated.
The clamps shown below are used to attach the gear to the spokes.

Speedo Bracket for Castle Forks
A special bracket for fixing your speedo to the Castle Forks on your Brough Superior. Made to the original pattern and supplied in bare metal for subsequent painting.

Drive Gearbox Bracket for Brough Superior RWD
You cannot drive from the front wheel with Castle forks due to the 'leading link' design. So this bracket attaches the gearbox to the rear fork for Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). Made to the original pattern and supplied in bare metal for subsequent painting. See lower picture for fitting detail.

65T Drive Gear for RWD
This bolts to the chain-wheel as shown in the picture above. Made in 5mm stainless steel, the gear can either be polished to replicate nickel, or nickel plated if strict originality is important to you. Supplied unplated.

Calibration Gear Pair
This gear pair inside the speedo case must be chosen according to wheel size, so that the indicated speed is correct. Total number of teeth always sums to 144.
